“I will hear what the Lord God has to say, a voice that speaks of peace, peace for his people. His help is near for those who fear him and his glory will dwell in our land.” Psalm 84(85):9-10
Next Friday, on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, our Parish Partnership will have 24 hour Eucharistic Adoration and Prayer for Peace based in St Mochta’s Church, Porterstown. It is an opportunity to present to the Lord our own deep need, and the world’s need, for God’s gift of peace. Starting with 10am Mass in St Mochta’s for the Feast day, prayer before the Blessed Sacrament will continue there all day and all through the night. There will be a guided hour of adoration from 8 to 9am on Saturday 3rd February, led by Fr Damian. Fr Paul will celebrate Mass there at 10am for the memorial of St Blaise with the Blessing of Throats. Heating will be on throughout and you can bring a cushion for extra comfort. (Some of these hours will have led reflections. Keep an eye our website for further details.)
