In response to Archbishop Farrell call to prayer for Gaza, we will host 24 hours of continuous prayer for peace, especially in Gaza, before the Blessed Sacrament here in Our Lady Mother of the Church starting at 3pm on Sunday 24th August and continuing right through till 3pm on Monday 25th August. As before in our Parish Partnership, we will be inviting parishioners from Porterstown, Laurel Lodge and our own parish community to commit to staying for certain hours of prayer throughout the day and night. Some of these hours will be led by prayer groups. A ‘sign in’ sheet will soon be available at the back of our church to encourage this.
By our persevering prayer, may our world become more open to God’s dream of peace, justice and dignity for every human being.
